New Water Tank At Wainuiomata Primary School we have got a water tank for emergencies. If there is no water we would go to the water tank and get some. You may be wondering “how does the water get into the water tank?” Originally the school wanted it to be filled by rain water from the roof but because of health concerns it was decided that it would be filled from the community water supply. The tank has a tap on the side to access the water inside. We questioned Mr Worboys about the water tank and this is what he had to say: Why did we get the water tank? "Because we are a civil defence centre. If there is an emergency we can help other people." How many litres can it hold? "5000 litres." Why did you pick that place for the tank? "Because it is close to the hall." Why did you choose that colour for the tank? "To keep the school colours, at least it’s not yellow!" The water tank is 2.23 meters high and 6.06 meters around. That’s our water tank and this is Jimmy and Shannia signing off for Wainuiomata Primary School. By Jimmy and Shannia ![]() Latest news
